Sago Time

Sunday is always for family. Usually Sunday will be filled with lotsa activities such as makan-makan, minum-minum, gambling and so on. So last Sunday, my cousin's wife from Kuala Penyu brought Natok or Sago ( in malay). Well, Makan nantung is always the best part of makan-makan. and it always brings memory of my mum because she loves nantung, owh forgot to tell, nantung is sago when it is ready to be eaten. and natok is sago when it is just processed from the 'rumbia' tree.
This is what u call Natok or sago flour. It was adding with water to wash the natok.

Before the natok ready, each of us will do our own 'pasasakan' or 'cicah'. So the best combination were chili+lime+belacan (shrimp paste)+isi ikan basungan+sup ikan basungan. The pic above is the 'pasasakan' without the sup.

The nantung is almost ready. you have to add boiled water into natok to make nantung. u guys wonder why on floor? because, u have to mix fast and adding water at the same time. so sangat bahaya if buat atas meja...nanti kena air panas...and tu nantung nda jadi


So, this is how u eat nantung. and nantung is the main course during war last time.~~~berliur suda sa ni..oo yaa....nantung also known as ambuyat here in sabah~~

Christmas is around the corner~~~
Actually i feel there are still many things to be done..
The house not cleaning yet~~Nanti2 la kan
i've thinking wut to cook for this christmas..
The main dish is Nasi Ayam Special ~

Basically we will have
1) Roasted chicken from my microwave
2) chicken +potato
3) sweet and sour pork
4)hinava or pinasakan (let's see if i have time for hunting fish)

dessert:
1) special Bandung
2) Puding (type depend on my mood)
3) Jelly
4) Fruit salad (still on my mind)

Fruit cake~~hoho i'll cut my second tier wedding cake...
Cheese cake (non-bake and bake) peach and blueberry
Chocolate cake with rich cake topping
*ikut mood, maybe black forest (itu pun kalau sempat)
anyone wanna help me with the cake?

By the I invite all my blogger friends to come~~ but please tell me earlier so that i can prepare foods enough for everyone...
~~waaa, cant wait for christmas, i'll be very busy then

Manila Trip part 2

Part 2 start with day 3.
We packed again our bag and keep our bag in our guide's car.
Again we breakfast at the same place.

They famous with their Lugao, Asado, Makchang, rice ball, and pau. We eat breakfast for 3 days here.

After we had breakfast, we went again to Chinatown at Diversoria (that was the guide told us) to get DH dart set. Hubby was so happy when he saw the dart set he find was so cheap..
Then we go to Kiapo and 168 Shopping Mall. Again, there were stall with real cheap things. cheaper than Green Hills.But there were so many people. it was so crowded where u hardly move. I bought Juicy Handbag, Sandal and cloths (again)..~sigh~

I didnt buy anything at Mall of Asia because i already buy things at Green Hills and 168. Once u already cheaper things, u wont looking to the expensive things.i just adore their chrismas deco. I want to buy the deco but hubby did not allow me. He said no more place after my things..huhuhu.
Basically, Day 3 only shopping and less sight seeing..
Since we finish our whole day at here and there, the guide suggest us to stay at 12 hours hotel. So we agreed. Since our bag will be in his car for the rest of the day and only stay at hotel at night. so he send us to Winston Hotel. it so cheap where we can have our own room~o yeahhh~~~hubby and me have our own room~

Manila Trip Part 1

When we landed our feet in Airport Clark we all felt delighted.
we arrived there about 4pm and Sherwin our guide was waiting for us with my name printed on cardboard.
The journey to Manila is about 2 hours. we stopped at Petrol for our pre-dinner.

The next stop our guide bring us to have Lechon Babuy..nice one..

The we heading to our Hotel because one of the friend was dizzy, jet-lagged .
SO, we just rest in our Hotel that day. Our hotel was Indah Hotel Manila..the place just near to one of the SM shopping Mall.
The next morning (second day), we packed again our things and waiting for our guide. Why we packing? because I only booked 1 night hotel, and the next day will be hunting for other hotel.
So, we just kept our stuff in our guide's car. Went to breakfast. i just love the Lugao+meat ball+chicken (Lugao=porridge) and it was nice but i cant finish eat because the bowl was so big.

After breakfast, we went to China Town for digging some gold... Actually there were many shops selling cheap 14K gold.. so i bought bangle for me, DH bought necklace and bracelet for MIL, so we got free earring for me...o yeahhh..

After shopping the gold, we went to see the miracle church. It was a big crowd there because the day we were day was..urggghh i dunt remember what's the day they call..but we dont get a chance to get in the church.iThe miracle Church

We walk around the china town. They sell very cheap at China Town, cheaper than any Shopping Mall in Manila.
Later after that we went to Green Hills shopping Mall. There are so many trade-in latest collection of handphone. There are also many stalls selling cloths, shoes, accessories and etc. I am so rambang mata ooooo.It was like stalls in Pasar KK but in aircond place .and I finish few hundred (Malaysian Ringgit)...and, i forgot to take picture..huhuh...
so we end up our day at Green hills with lotsa shopping bag and hunting a hotel to stay...

Second nite at Manila we stay at Bell-Air Soho Hotel. nicee place to stay...one room, 2 bed 1 couch, with sink and refridgerator and toilet. So again, we all packed in one room...

Just another NORMAL day

3 ++ weeks to go..hehe.. i cant wait for holiday..i mean school holiday...we havent plan anything yet except for vacations..i hope i can go to anywhere..maybe 2 places? hehe..one is confirmed...
and now i'm thinking about___ Penang?...i never been to Penang..yeshh, blame me for that...i know i'm lame ..hehe..i want to try the Penang's food...i hope i can go there..can ka? Why not rite?
is it enough for 2 nite?? hehehe..
actually i still have piles of work to finish here but now, i'm thinking about Vacation? gilar la...ini baru la...by the way...Happy working everyone...just dont stress yourself! Work is work and work never finish..enjoy your life while u still can..

Movie Marathon

Today was one boring day for me. brother and me planning to go here and there but rain ruins it. But it is Ok when fiancee said OK when i ask him to go for movie. so after i prepare the dinner, i prepare to go out and we heading to Karamunsing to have our dinner since fiancee want to eat teppanyaki at Usagi. I just go for train sushi.
After we finish, the we heading to CP and buy ticket for 2 movies...so we watch Twillight and Wild Girl. Ok, this 2 movies, both comes wit their speciallity. I like the love stories in Twillight which it is different from other love stories. two love birds from different world...dun't miss it, the story is a bit slow but u will find the satisfaction while watching it.



While the Wild Girl pulak, the story is something like happy and comedy....i just like the way it is...hard to describe...so both movie, are so encourage..

1st Day Raya

Yesterday, 1st day of raya (I just dunno why i keep on updating after the next day hehehehe) i just stayed at home doing nothing. Thinking of going open house but seems there is none. maybe today. Actually i have a lots of invitation back in Tambunan but fiancee said no need to go back there and spend the rest of holiday here =(
In the afternoon, my aunt and her husband came and bring lemang for us..hahaha..x juga kempunan bah...while we sit and chit chatting, they suddenly she said, come lets BBQ at 4 pm. well, BBQ is always my favourite and for sure i am ok with it. so, we heading to Donggongon buy chicken, meat sosej. so, we have satay for the day.we started burning the charcoal about 5.30 pm.

BBQ is done by uncle Mike. sorry, i dont have picture of the food after it was cooked because everyone are busy enjoying food and beer. hehehe..am satisfied with my lamb .. i think i need to do detox after dis....too much calories and fat and cholestrol

so, we celebrated 1st raya on our own....I just miss my mum because she also loves BBQ
